Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy 
Fly from London to Rome. Board Vasco da Gama.
From Civitavecchia you can get to beautiful Rome where you are spoilt for choice. Admire the imposing St. Peter’s Basilica in enchanting Rome or take a trip to the Vatican City, the centre of the Roman Catholic Church, and marvel at true masterpieces, such as Michelangelo’s frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. Or enjoy the vibrant metropolis with its highlights: the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum….
Day 2 – Olbia, Sardinia 
Narrow streets meander between the colourful facades of the picturesque houses in Olbia! Look forward to azure water, beautiful beaches and Italian flair in the enchanting port city in the north-east of Sardinia.
Day 3 – Portoferraio, Elba 
In Portoferraio, admire the mighty city walls, the imposing fortress town “Cosmopoll” and the ancient heritage from the time of iron mining. In the north of the enchanting town on the island of Elba, a picturesque natural bay behind a gigantic rocky outcrop invites you for a swim!
Day 4 – Livorno (for Florence & Pisa), Italy 
Immerse yourself in the Tuscan way of life in Livorno and admire the picturesque Italian houses on a short walk through the town. Architectural masterpieces also await you on a visit to historic Florence or the enchanting city of Pisa.
Day 5 – La Spezia, Italy 
Experience the Italian way of life in La Spezia! Surrounded by the picturesque coastal landscape, the colourful house facades shine with their unique architecture to give an enchanting picture.
Day 6 – Genoa, Italy 
Walk in the footsteps of the great explorer in the birthplace of Christopher Columbus! Genoa breaths typical Italian flair: beautiful narrow streets, extraordinary culture and charming museums are waiting to be discovered.
Day 7 – Villefranche-sur-Mer (for Nice), France 
Welcome to the magical Côte d’Azur! Beautiful gardens, narrow streets in the historic old town and a picturesque coast await you in the colourful port cities of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Nice. Be sure to enjoy the breathtaking view from the peaks of the nearby mountains!
Day 8 – Marseille, France 
Disembark for your return journey home.
